Mr Barry's great work: Rebuilding the new Houses of Parliament Caroline Shenton Wednesday 05 June 2019

A highly topical lecture, given the current debate about the multi-billion pound restoration planned for Westminster. We will hear how Charles Barry created the most famous building in Britain, a masterpiece of Victorian architecture and a spectacular feat of civil engineering, which was finished at three times over budget and 24 years behind schedule.
